Old Amsterdam Cheese Rounds


  • 1 puff pastry sheet, thawed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 cup grated Old Amsterdam
  • 2 teaspoons of dried Italian seasoning


Heat the oven to 400°F. Beat the egg and water in a small bowl with a fork or a whisk.Unfold the pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut the pastry sheet in half. Brush the two rectangular sheets with the egg mixture. Top with the cheese and the seasoning. Roll each sheet, very loose, starting with the long side. Brush the rolls with the egg mixture and cut each roll in 10 ½ inch slices and place them onto baking sheet.

Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool down for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy
