Is the milk used produced in an animal-friendly way?

Our Dutch cheese is made from 100% pasture milk, certified by the independent Weidegang Foundation. This means the cows that produce milk for Maaslander and Old Amsterdam spend at least 6 hours a day, 120 days a year, grazing outdoors. Most dairy farms use modern, open barns that allow cows to move freely between indoor and outdoor spaces, promoting animal welfare.

We also adhere strictly to the “Koekompas” standards, ensuring responsible and transparent dairy farming practices.
