Ingredients

100 g Old Amsterdam Original

check_box_outline_blank

90 g Old Amsterdam Cheese Spread Truffle

check_box_outline_blank

90 g Old Amsterdam Cheese Spread Pesto

check_box_outline_blank

100 g mixed grapes

check_box_outline_blank

4 figs

check_box_outline_blank

1 tablespoon olive oil

check_box_outline_blank

100 g cherry tomatoes

check_box_outline_blank

100 g olives, green

check_box_outline_blank

50 g Serrano ham

check_box_outline_blank

1 baguette (or bread of your choice)

check_box_outline_blank

100 g shallots

check_box_outline_blank

200 g carrots

check_box_outline_blank

200 grams of cucumber

check_box_outline_blank

100 ml white balsamic vinegar

check_box_outline_blank

50 g sugar

check_box_outline_blank

100 ml water

check_box_outline_blank

1 teaspoon salt

check_box_outline_blank

1 teaspoon juniper berries

check_box_outline_blank

1 teaspoon mustard seeds

check_box_outline_blank

3 bay leaves

check_box_outline_blank

3 pieces of star anise

check_box_outline_blank

2 sprigs of dill

How to make it:

  1. For the pickles, peel the shallots and carrots and cut them into bite-sized pieces. Halve the cucumber and remove the seeds with a spoon. Cut the cucumber into 1 cm thick slices.
  2. Boil the vinegar with sugar, water, salt, and herbs. Simmer the carrots and onions for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Rinse a jar with hot water, add the cucumber and dill, and fill with the cooked vegetable and vinegar mixture. Leave to cool overnight.
  4. For the snack platter, cut the Old Amsterdam Original into bite-sized cubes.
  5. Wash the grapes, figs, and tomatoes. Cut the figs into quarters. If desired, place the pickles and olives in small bowls.
  6. Place all ingredients on a large plate or board and serve with Old Amsterdam Cheese Spread. Spread on bread and cut into slices.

Cooking tip!

Roast the tomatoes a little longer until they are lightly caramelized: their sweetness balances the salty anchovy mayonnaise and savory Old Amsterdam cheese even better.
