Steak Tartare

This French dish is a favorite for many. The defined taste of Old Amsterdam makes for the perfect touch for this dish. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 7 oz beef steak or fillet
- 1 small shallot, chopped
- 2 teaspoon capers, finely chopped
- 1 handful chopped green herbs (tarragon, chives, chervil)
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 6 drops tabasco
- 1 teaspoon English mustard
- 2 teaspoons ketchup
- salt and pepper
- 4 slices rye bread
- 1.1 oz grated Old Amsterdam
Preparation
Allow the meat to come up to room temperature and cut with a sharp knife into small blocks. Mix with the chopped shallot, the capers, the herbs and the sauces. Season with salt and pepper. Using a cookie cutter or a glass, cut 2 circles out of each slice of the rye bread. Put the steak tartare on top of these circles and sprinkle Old Amsterdam on top.
