Tasty bread with Old Amsterdam, pesto and walnuts
Ideal recipe to accompany any dinner party replacing the well-known baguette.
- 1 tasty rustic bread (whole loaf)
- 50 g walnuts
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/8 cup of basil
- 1.7 oz of grated Old Amsterdam + a little to sprinkle
- 2/5 cup of olive oil
- Food processor
Preheat the oven at 200 °C. Use a food processor to finely chop the walnuts and the garlic. Add the basil and the cheese and then slowly add the olive oil until the mixture is smooth. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cut the top of the bread in both direction without cutting it through to the bottom. Spread pesto in the cuts and sprinkle cheese on top. Place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking tray and place the bread on it. Place the tray in the oven and bake for approximately 10 minutes.
