Old Amsterdam Tasty Grill with vegetables and potatoes

With roasted vegetables


  • 1 eggplant (medium)
  • 1 zucchini
  • 2 red pepper
  • 1 large red onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 to 2 tbsp dried Italian herbs (or approx. 20 g fresh Italian herbs, finely chopped)
  • salt and pepper
  • olive oil for frying
  • 400 g penne pasta
  • 1 jar of pesto Genovese (ready-made)
  • 4 pieces (2 packs) Old Amsterdam ‘Tasty Grill’
  • Fresh basil to garnish


  • Preheat the oven to 200°C. Cut the eggplant, zucchini and pepper into 2 to 3cm pieces, the red onion into wedges and the garlic finely.
  • Mix the vegetables in a bowl with olive oil, Italian herbs and salt and pepper and spread on a baking tray. Roast the vegetables for about 20 minutes until done and coloured. Turn occasionally.
  • In the meantime, cook the penne pasta according to the instructions on the package.
  • Drain the pasta. Stir in the roasted vegetables and season with the pesto.
  • Grill or bake the Tasty Grill according to the instructions on the package and serve on top of the pasta.
  • Garnish with fresh basil.

Instead of roasting in the oven, you can also bake the vegetables in a pan. When frying you usually use a little more oil than when roasting.
